Iv rebuilt engines in a 225 valiant, a 202 holden, 160 pursuit falcon, a 3.3 Vauxhal victor and 351 cleveland for my boat, probably others Iv forgotten. Replaced diffs, numerous clutches, valve grinds , etc etc.. so I have no interest anymore in " easy to repair" Iv simply done my time with old shit that breaks down. You are welcome to your 80s and 90s stuff, easy and cheap fixes and 1,000,000km safaris, Ill stick to the modern reliable comfy ones that I dont have to fix , thats why i said each to own.
    Shit thats flash....mine was a A30...tho a coupe....for the chicks

Well he looks like our father, but other than that you wouldn't think so. There are more mechanically minded jelly beans than him. He decided one day to man up and fix his own puncture on his treadly. After 45 minutes he came back inside to ask which way to turn the nuts to loosen the front wheel. I kid you not.

I was fair freckled skin, blond, blue eyed. He was dark skin, dark curly hair and brown eyes and his legs looked like a couple of knots in a couple of bits of cotton thread. For some reason we had trouble convincing anyone we were twins.

Dad and I got sick of the constant valve grinds and put a 120y motor and box in it, went well but needed wheels on the roof also.

I bought a real tidy rust free original paint standard 8 with the intention of restoring it around 12 years ago then had kids 4 door this time but the deluxe model with wind up windows! came with all the original sales advertising, set a record between two states of aus with an average speed of 50mph on dirt roads...not bad considering top speed was 60-65mph

They were popular for hauling boats in and out of the water if you couldn't get hold of a Fergie.
