    Previous owner fitted a Hawkers Snorkel to my Prado and mucked it up. It is sitting about 100-120mm high. So snorkel hat is sitting above the roof line and catches tree branches all the time. I have smashed the plastic mesh in the snorkel head more than once.
    So long as you ensure a good seal it will work as well as any other brand. Measure twice, then twice more.
