Is anyone coming down from Auckland (or further north) able to pick up a suppressor from Bombay for me?
The seller is willing to bring it to the petrol station, I just need to set it up.

I'm going to the airport on Friday. Can pick it up.
    Overkill is still dead.

I could also do that for you Ross. Let me know if for some reason @7mmwsm gets hijacked at the airport and his plan falters.

Thanks gents. I'll get the sellers details to you both and maybe you can work it out - if it turns into any sort of a drama I'll be up this month I think.

Weather update: Overnight temps have climbed from 3 to 10 degrees now. Far more conducive to yarning after the sun has gone down. Saturday's daytime temp is forecast to be 20 degrees, which will be the highest we have had for 7 months.

Just getting stuck into the tidying up job....

Unfortunately due to unexpected family commitments I'm not going to make it now, bit of a bugger because I was quite looking forward to meeting you chaps.

I'd love to be there too, but each time you plan this it does not work for me. But I've got to say, seriously you have not been above 20C for 7 months??? We hit 34C last week. And tagging the first 84 calves today it felt about the same (but probably wasn't).

This may sound awkward but is it "moist" enough for a bonfire or is it the freestanding fireplace again

Another scorcher today. Jeeze, we have gone from snow flurries on the Desert road to T shirt shorts and sunhat in less than 2 weeks.

So yes, we will be sticking with the stand alone log burner for the semblance of warmth.

Yep. Been one cold cold winter here. Just moved the 19th IBC pod of firewood up to the house last week for this winter.

Its 20 degrees inside now but I'm running the fire as I need to roast a mutton and I'm too much of a tightarse to burn LPG for the oven when I have free firewood.

Breakfasting now and then I’m on my way down. See you soon enough.
