    Another PLB thread

    Hi folks,
I’ve skimmed a bunch of previous PLB threads and wondering if anyone knows of good PLB’s on sale currently (but not the supercheap ones that have ½ their service life left)?

Ages back I was at the Sika show and there was a guy from a PLB trust giving out cards with promo code discounts, but I can’t find his card anymore.
I’ve carried a KTI (now Jotron) for work and they seemed good, though I never used it in anger.
Also borrowed an Ocean Signal Rescueme which was nice because it was so small, but again, never used it. One of the old forum posts mentioned the Ocean Signal models didn’t take abuse as well as others and a couple failed when used, but they’re also very conveniently small.

For anyone else looking into PLB’s, here’s a list of previous threads that’re worth reading:

So, anyone know of some sales on good PLBs? I'm leaning towards the Jotron given its battery life.

I went gme never see them mentioned but figured carrying that moniker it’d be a solid option and also ended up being a heap cheaper than others too.

I also went with gme- repco was selling them really cheap recently but otherwise places like marine deals have them for around $459. A new model with return link was recently released too at $599

If you come to use it, an infrared strobe is a far greater feature consideration than which model has the longest battery calendar life.
Also, as above the return link service function on the latest ones is probably quite comforting.

That's what's selling me on the Jotron SA20 - has IR/LED strobe, return link, and 11 year battery. However I had never heard of the GME ones until asking here, so it pays to ask you guys
