A .338 in the right hands at 800m is like a .308 at 400 tho. What i dont like is that if the animal needs a second shot then a LONG shot could mean that it suffers for too long while it waits for you to travel the distance. The struggling animal might fall behind obstructions or something

Have contacted the supplier. Not their fault though. I'm probably shit out of luck.

1500 limit unless insured for more... Less if it was 'under gst' threshold.
    What's fucked on it?

*Think* it's possibly replaceable, but I'd prefer it wasn't fucked.

Sorry to see that Beavis. Could get you a new tube but not parts for that one. The other cascade one hasn`t come up on TM again either.

Try NZ post for coverage as Spanners said up to $1500. If its worth over $1500 then they don`t pay anything though you did tell me it was worth considerably less.

Yea I'll see what starlight reckons. Might just be able to replace the lens or something. It was only $155 shipped. I didn't have much faith in it getting to me undamaged to be honest. They're selling gen 3 tubes as well, I'd be fuckin crying if it was one of those.

The Gen1 cascade would just slip out of the U.K unrestricted but a Gen3 is a diffrent story... PAPER WORK and then probably declined if U.S made.
Have a look at Oatley Elecrtonics in Australia , if they still exist, They used do do alot of Tubes removed from armoured vehicles and the like.
