No , I donot want my cake n eat it , The price for basically one 7 inche knife was to start with $30 USD , which I thought was not that cheap , then they emailled saying the made a mistake , and the cost was $60 USD , and asked for me to approve that price increase .
And why is it , that no one ever offers a international surface rate ? , oh yeah , thats because , we have no container ships coming to NZ any more ?
Cheers Chris
You're moaning about $60USD for a knife but are happy as to pay the asking price for AI's and PMII's??
You are a seriously weird dude.
NOT TOO weird , as all my AIs have been , direct from UK , and PMIIs on special out of the US , and to ME , their is some WORK in making complex things , ie firearms & scopes etc , and I am prepared to PAY for them .
As to simple items , like fixed blades , I see no point in paying stupid / crazy prices , as they are SIMPLE & not COMPLEX , so YEAH , I am WEIRD .
Later Chris
Exactly James, and Mercators are sooo yesterday.
I don't know about NZ knife suppliers , but here in OZ the service and prices are just stupid . I'm all for supporting local businesses but there is a point when that attitude changes from community conscience to just plain I'm really happy to throw my money at people who don't give a shit and are actually taking the piss out of me with their prices .
I haven't bought a new knife locally in a long time , I mostly buy from the USA and the communication , service , pricing makes Australia look like thieves and liars .
Ken
FALL IN LOVE WITH THE NUMBERS , NOT THE IDEA
Took my own advice, went and visited the Svord forge the other day and walked away with two great locally made kniives for a hundy, reviews to follow once I have used them a little more, currently they are en route to HGD for a new double sheath combo, which may end up doubling the cost but at least the money is staying in NZ...
