If you want to look at lighter options consider a quilt with xtherm mat...eg loco libre, Enlightened Equipment etc. High FP down.

These look alright if it's a quilt you're after. No experience with them myself but been keeping an eye on them to come back available

Apologies if this comes through twice
We have (3) One Planet bags. Each time we did the research looking at the bag weight, the fill loft and the fill weight and importantly the cost - the OP bags were ahead on every metric. In 6 years, no gear failure so very happy.

They have a heap of down/loft for their temp ratings so should be pretty warm.

I still have my old macpac latitude 700 as a back up, purchased over 15 years ago and going strong.

I now use a halo but wish I had bought either the heavier halo plus or new version of the latitude with hydrophobic down.

Maybe a bit off topic but I’ve spent a shit night out in the halo getting wet with sideways rain and an inadequate fly. The waterproofing in the down these days is awesome and kept me warm even when wet. I would recommend this as a feature you should look for in your search for a replacement bag.

These look good. A sew in footbox is a lot more useful.

I'm probably in the minority by preferring synthetic bags over down as they are still usable when wet and dry out quicker.
Have had one of these for 10 years and never been cold.

Dries out quick and does the job at a good price point

I've got a kuiu that I purchased this year and think it's one of the best designed bags I've seen, expensive yes,but quality all the way.
Had a Domex halo + and sent it back, didn't live up to the hype we have heard about them, can't even compare it against the kuiu. Rab bags are good if you can get the one you want.

Hi mate. Any more information you could provide? I’m a cold sleeper and although I have a good bag I’m interested in your view of your Kuiu.

The last one brought was the -8 Coocon Regular. I appreciate the 187cm length, can stuff small and only weighs 753gms
Compares well to Domex Halo etc
I often hunt under fly down here in Southland and yet to be cold.
These lightweight bags work well with insulated mats and down jackets, struggle to see why you need to have a warmer bag

I see the Domex is advertised at $699, the Cocoon I purchased was just over $400 from Southern Adventures- not sure what current pricing is though.
