Thread: Scope mounting your Maxtoch torch

    Maxtoch now stocking the recommended scope mounting options for these lights.

    They have the adjustable '8' clamp and the rail/quick release ring setup. These items are about $8-9 each because they pay alot more for international post than big outfits like DX. But if you buy and freight mounts with your torch, price then drops to $5 per unit which is ok:

    Got this off E-Bay for 20$ with free 20 day shipping
    Has side-up/down adjust and fits 25 or 30mm scope tubes
    Not the Maxtoch - that was 100$ with 10 18650's a real good charger and accessories

    It is not quick detach - in my case on the mini 14 it is reasonably quick - but you still need to crack a couple of key screws and then slide it of front o scope
    BUT - if its a more normal aperture scope you would need to unscrew all 4 keys

    At this point in time - I have not field tried it (to forkn wet)
    I think it will balance up - if not - it will be a problem positioning it further back near turrets
