Latest knife finished for my lovely wife in time for a Christmas present, general kitchen blade, dyed and stabilized French Oak. Very light and balanced.
Loving the Christmas break, drinking beer, shooting rabbits and getting Knives completed.
Latest off Medusa Knives work bench.
Taipan model hunter, Russian Ash stabilized handle, 14c28n full grind and full tang.

Very nice grind and shape. Is the ash stablized in the US?
Hi Mate, no out of Mother Russia. It's cross cut which I heard can be a little tricky but this was beautifully stabilized , very dense and stable.
The shape is 100% Bark River inspired. Got a Bob Dozier inspired hunter / skinner next, Snake skin Micarta handles and other little custom features .
You found a Unique yet ?
You have a good eye for details, I in particular liked the one you just recently sold.
What kind of linisher do you use?
a Linisher, mate I will one day , nope I am using this off Trade me, 1 inch / 25 mm belt , gets so hot after 30 mins grinding I can't touch the housing so turn it off and walk away.
I was literally using a hand file before this. Figured if you are going to do this and aspire to be good at it you start at dirt level and grind ( no pun indented ) your way way up to understand the process.
By the way I am a new maker and have years ahead to become a better knife maker , these last tAttachment 126823wo knives are the 6th and 7th knives I've ever made .
By the way a big shout out to Forum members who have added a lot of positive encouragement both verbally and those who have stepped up and ordered a blade , thank you it's helped at these early stages of the journey, more coming. Merry Christmas from Viper / Medusa knives
A couple of kitchen knives I’m working on, away from the shed so can’t finish but I can get an edge on them, then tidy up in the new year...01 with zebra wood and Cooktown Ironwood handles.
Merry Xmas all!

New Knife off the bench, Copperhead Model based on a Bob Dozier Pro Hunter.
Will put it in the for sale section if anyone is interested with more detail on the knife.Attachment 127011
I bought some Benfhmade 535 Bug Out Ti scales from Rockslide Designs some time ago but the original body screws were a tad too short. Ordered some Ti screw from Ali Express in blue which finally arrived today. They look pretty good I thought.

I also got a Ti back spacer for my Paramilitary 2 Spyderco. It looks OK and was very well made tolerance wise so I'll keep it in for now. It doesn't appear to affect the balance.

Here's one for the kitchen from the late Bruce Merchant (Australia). I haven't used it yet. Micarta scales, hand engraved makers name. Stainless bolsters. Close to perfection.

A big thank you to
gonetropo
who donated some beautiful wooden knife scales to me:)
I used the South American Mahogany on this hunting/ kitchen knife and I think it turned out alright.
The carbon steel blade is an American made 'True Edge' Ontario knife blade and just needed some slight changes to the tang for a better grip and an extra brass rivet for strength.
Thank you very much gonetropo, for the next knife I will use some of the teak you gave me and it will be a butchers knife.
