Exactly. Does anyone remember a brand called Koh-hi-noor or something like that? And Blue Jean, they were very cool.

I have a kohinor, the guy made it and gifted it to my father. It’s an antler handled dagger for pig sticking. I got Hamish to make a nice sheath for it. It’s a little impractical for hunting but still cool. My cousin also has a kohinor, his is a clip point of about five inches, much more practical.

Isolation has got the creative juices flowing. Plenty to work and refine but not bad.
Cheers mate, the forum members have been awesome with their support and encouragement.
Feedback from the knives sold has been very positive and a real buzz with some great photo's sent with game.
No rush just let me know when you want to do something and we can chat and go from there.

A jig of sorts but very crude, slowly working on free hand but not easy on a tiny grinder with a platen about the size of two postage stamps ( literally ).
Working hard to get a nice grind as it sets the knife up for the rest of the build , once the steel is treated and hard my little 1 x 30 hobby grinder is working it's arse off to remove much more steel so lots of attention at the early stages helps.

Yep, had as long as I can remember, think it was my grandfathers.
Hi @viper
Is it the platen or the tool rest that is too small on your 1x30?
