    original thread plus wire and tape

    Tape I wrap wide plastic tape -PVC type- around my lighter about 10 times
    Wire I carry a few lengths of reinforcing tiewire for repairs - once deep in the tararuas I used a piece when a pin on my rifle sling fell out

    And a small thing of hand sanitiser - it doubles as a fire starting agent
