    duck caller

With the season now approaching faster then ever and with plenty of ducks about, considering getting a new caller. been using a couple of old school shakers the last few years but thinking about buying a Hammond RIP caller read good things about them on here and other pub. Mainly shoot couple big dams/ponds and river but not big open water.
Happy to look a second hand callers to save money

Hey mate you won't be dissapointed with the hammond, they sound very realistic. Be sure to give it a light coat of linseed oil every now an again to look after the wood.

Another kiwi call is the Cupped Wings (CW) Callers. Don't have one (yet) personally but they come recommended.

like the olt66,but i have an assortment most of which iwas gifted .Itend to use theone ithink is best suited to a situation .my calling aint that shit hot anyhow so often i let mates do the main calling and ill chime in on the chorus.Ive got a mate whose a bit of a woodturner -might have a wee chat with him -a good winter project would be a custom call.

+1 on the Cupped Wing calls, picked up 'The Mutt' off the maker a couple of years ago at the Sika show. It's stayed on the lanyard so that says something.

Yes. I think you have to buy them from him directly. Maybe shooters world in gore will have them.

I bought a "Wily Mallard" call today. Had a go with it when i got home, sounds sorta weird

who needs a name??? find one that YOU like and go down to the local duckpond with a loaf of bread and start talking to the old biddies, they will soon tell you when you get it right and they will shut up when you dont....quiet is good... very very quiet is even better, the 3 callers I mentioned will all whisper to close ducks, you will call in and kill more ducks with a single quack done right than any amount of loud wrong notes.
