    Duck shooting access

    Hey team.
Righto, been out the duck shooting game for 6 or so years. Kidd came along and had to put duck shooting on hold. Recently a good mate of mine has started to show interest in duck shooting and thinking about giving it a crack this coming season. Anyone happen to have a spare pond/waterway they ain't shooting? Please hit me up happy to swap a box of cold ones of your choice. I'd normally just go down the waikato or up the kaipara but I currently don't have the punt up and going. Cheers guys

Grab yourself a dinghy and small outboard, opened up a lot of opportunities for me back in the day, plenty of lakes and harbours in your area, scout out an area with birds pre season and camo boat up and shoot out of it.

What do you do for a job? Can you help the Land Owner in anyway? If you want shooting access badly enough….

Unfortunately its pretty much come to this now. It's who you know.. Auckland is tough going finding places to hunt. Most of my locations have been developed or changed hands. Boats can get you on to the Firth of Thames or Kaipara Harbour.

We live in the same area and this has not been my experience, turn up looking respectable, use your manners and offer to help out around the place.
A stategic 4 year old dressed in his camo helps especially if you can get the lady of the house on your side.
Alot of people will give you a crack.
I find the olders farmer 60+ to be the most helpfull.
Also yet to be called in to do any of that helping out i offer to do.
Keep at it, you only need one yes.
