    Let’s see ya gunboat setups

Anyone else shoot from a boat?I have found over the last few years that not being confined to one spot has been working well on the big lake I shoot, usually by 9am I have worked out the goose flight line and as long as it’s nowhere near an established blind I will move the boat and get amongst them.Name: image.jpg

Actually... funny you should post this now. I've been working on this one for a while now. I came across the design when I was guiding a party of English Royalty on a Swan hunt off the Coast of Cornwall.

I hand milled all the timber, and built the boat from scratch in the shed at my bach. Then built the gun out of some hardened steel blasting pipe I got from a mate from my days mining in the outback. Made the flintlock mechanism out of some flint I collected during my time doing close protection work for some people in Sussex, UK. Shit it was hard work, but against all odds, I managed to get it done. Testing has gone pretty well, a little hard on the shoulder, but good patterning.

Hoping to give it it's first outing on the upper reaches of the Clarence, after towing it up with one of my jetboats.

I'll let you know how it goes!

well we use boat for transport,I shoot a LOT of our birds from scooting around, finding birds on shore, going past and beaching boat then stalking along shoreline.
Ive contemplated doing the camo up of my 13foot tinny as a couple of groups shoot from big sleep in barges and do really well, but thats as much about the spot they are in,good calling, hundred plus decoys and lots of hot steel in air when birds in range.
