Definitely don't go in guns blazing. Sneak into maimai as best as you can, but don't stress if the ducks take off. They tend to come back in smaller groups which are easier to clean out, which in turn means you end up having a far better shoot. Better to shoot mobs of 4/6/8 than trying to hit 20 at once, often in very poor light.

Get into your spot before light.
