I spent a lot of time in the tropics of North Australia & Africa as a Hunting/Fishing guide in the blasing sun& after l got my pilots licence l would be tasked flying clients into remote camps in Arnhem Land & the Kimberly's, a lot of the time flying into the setting sun & grew to absolutely hate crap easily scratched glasses .I had a chopper pilot mate recommend Spotters sunglasses ,they have are proper optical quality Glass with the lenses sandwiched in between ,making them highly scratch resistant .I brought my last pair over 6 yrs ago in OZ after giving my mate l was guiding with on my last gig in Africa, my old pair as he was blown away by the abuse they would handle .
Sounds like the pair I had many moons ago. Unfortunately I left them in the van when I leant it to someone for a few months and they didn't come back with it.
