Generally, fine mono (6lb) with a float at the surface, two small hooks #8, on droppers, at 10" spacings and a lead shot at the bottom to hold the line straight and vertical. Whole rig about 2 ~ 3 ft, but longer for the quarry.

Dough (flour and water) size of half a pea as bait. Though some of the trout, may have taken a small Rudd or similar, that had hooked itself prior. A bit of flour n water, flung about as burley, seems to be a good idea.
