    I used a m7 as it was shorter than most actions so felt like a better fit for a .223 while still being able to fit decent AICS mags. I'd use a 700 clone custom action if building a rifle for a larger cartridge as mounting options and other parts for the m7 are limited in comparison and some of the lightweight 700 clone customs are just as light as a m7.

    I haven't used one as a factory rifle really but it would be the same comparison to a 700 really, shorter and lighter, shoot fine, a bit harder to find mounts for bigger scopes

    I like mine tho
