Try removing the plastic bush from the rear of the suppressor and shoot some groups, recently traced the lost accuracy of my bergara to the plastic bush being too tight. Used to shoot fine with the same setup and loads, then one day it wouldn't. I got a good group when the suppressor had come slightly loose, tried it without the bush to test after trying lots of other things, cleaning, scope swap etc and after taking the bush out it was back to bugholes. Was a frustrating experience, maybe I had knocked it out of alignment but dont remember doing so.

Yep, been caught with suppressor bush issue - some times touching bbl, recently myself. Bought a REM model 7, came with a DPT suppressor. During load dev found it would throw 1 shot out of 3 wide or high or low. Real random, 2 shots touching then 3rd one 2 or 3 inch away. After going thru the usual list of suspects & ruling them out I happened to notice the suppressor was slip it of alignment with barrel & the bush clearance was bigger on one side than the other. Measuring the bbl OD and bush ID there was a total clearance of about 0.7mm. Replaced the bush with one out of another DPT that gave a clearance of 2mm total in diameter, problem solved. I think with original tight bush and a slight out of alignment it’s was occasionally touching bbl, giving fliers.

A just touching suppressor bush will give you a variable zero each time you refit it. Make sure there is clearance -all- round.

Could someone explain this 'Suppressor bush' business to me, I am not sure what exactly is being discussed. - I have only two centrefires with suppressors, one an overbarrel maximus and the other is muzzle forward.

at the rear of the suppressor theres a plastic bush that gets machined to not touch your barrel.. mine was touching lol

Is this for an over-barrel suppressor ? What does the bush do if its not touching anything ?

all of mine touch...firmly as per the way they were made /fitted by manufacturer of said suppressors...I guess they either need to be firm or not touch at all....
