rifle change / load/ no bumps etc

So, about a 1month ago, I finished my load development for my 7mm saum.
I zeroed at 100, verified out to 550, then verified out to 760 on a 6inch gong. 2x.
Took it out the following week and shot 2x deer at 380 and 467m. Both shots direct centre shoulder. Put rifle away into hard padded case.

Got home, cleaned it, put it in the safe.

took it out again last weekend and shot @ 2x deer, 1 shot to one, and 2 shots to the other around the 300m mark. All 3x shots misses.

    What could cause this ?

Im running RL26, and the only difference I could come up with was the temperature was around 16 when I load developed and up the kawekas the tempo was 1/0 deg.

Have checked all my loads for seating incase they bounced in the case and seating depth changed, I have checked my dialup for windage was at zero, and my correct strelok rifle was used.

Getting back to the range this weekend depending on weather, but hoping its still on zero at 100.

To miss a whole deer three times at only 300 yards would seem to me to be more that a temperature thing.

yup it is. Nightforce nx8 4-32. Almost like it somehow got a whack. all the rings are tight, checked the torque on them, still at 28inch lb and 65inch lb cross bolts.

yeah i though a temperature thing could have been a slight POI change, but not a whole deers shoulder

possibly, but was just broken in, and thoroughly cleaned everytime, and always shot ragged holes at 100 after every clean.

scope has to be -cant be range finder - your eye would give you a good indication if it was giving incorrect ranges - forget to readjust elevation settings ? last shot 476 m next 300 m - fault with elevation dials - some knob has played with scope -

Pretty hard to have that happen, but i guess its not impossible. 3x range finders showed the same range +- 1m .

I am going to say the zero stop is set wrong. got to be quite out at 300y with a saum
but if it hits at 100y then obviously the gun just isn't for you and i'll take it off your hands

Have double checked the zero stop right now, and its correct. no way it could have been set incorrect.
