So you can't make it to the range?

The Mrs just sent me a link to this training aid with the question should we buy 1 or 2?

I guess that means I know what I/we are getting for Xmas

That's actually pretty awesome... I'd even buy the pistol one if it was in stock, and set it up on an airsoft!

I think that would involve unbolting it and just driving up to you
We have decided to wait till after the Xmas postal chaos before ordering one out of Oz, so you will have to wait till Feb Rushy.

I am a patient man who has spent a lot of time waiting outside of shops for my missus so Feb is a doddle

Please do tell when you get it. Since it goes by the sound of the firing pin hitting its stop it's automatically taking into account action lock time which is important when shooting offhand. Should help the realism in addition to the proper trajectory.

Maybe the hunting scenario will have a " gut the deer " scenario? Laughter sound effects for puncturing gut or gallbladder.

I have been thinking about this for a while now. I can understand with a hammer fire pistol that it would be easy to re-cock the action between shots but wonder what the story would be with a striker fire pistol or an AR platform firearm like my Tippmann. Surely working the slide or charging handle between simulated shots would be a pain in the arse.

Suppose depends if you want more or less realism. I thought of loading up a smle with dummy rounds etc. The sound sensor does a variable timeout to stop the subsequent racking of the bolt from setting off a virtual shot.

I'm thinking it will be handy getting my niece more in tune with shot placement on animals in the hunting levels. Seems a good way of bridging the gap between paper targets and the animals, really don't want her first shot on a deer to be placed poorly

Thanks for sharing. I have tried it.

    1. You can sign up to a 24hr free trial. You do not actual need their gadget to make this work, you just need something to hold up the phone to your gun. I happen to have something around for that purpose.

    2. It uses camera to track movement. If you have a current gen mid to high end phone, the latency is very low, i.e. it works really well.

    3. It registers trigger using sound (microphone). To use semi, you can use an airsoft gun, which allows you to shoot semi with air (blank).

    4. Alternatively, you can just use you month and go "bang", it will register as a shot fired. Heaps fun this way.

    5. It is surprisingly intense. I played for about 30 minutes and am exhausted !.

    6. It has buy 1 get 1 free deal right now. I will keep trial for the rest of the 24 hrs and decide. My only worry is that once novelty wears off, i may never touch it again. But then again, it makes an excellent party trick/game/show off.

On your phone it has a scope view as well as normal view. Just like a First person shooter computer game, But with scope view included in the same screen. You can adjust the Position of the scope view. By default, it is on the right, Because you mount the right side of your phone to their gadget that they sale, which comes with a magnifying glass acting as your scope. The reveals say the magnifying glass is cashier because it just magnifies whatever is already on your phone screen, it makes things more blurry. You can adjust the magnification on the scope screen from 1x to 20x I think.

You have a number of reticle choices. I think you are meant to compensate the drop using the reticle. I'm guessing the guns shoots 223
