Thread: Would it be a bad idea to go hunting with my SKS this weekend?

Bring the SKS but slip a light slip type cover over it, only take it out fully when you are in your hunting area.

Most trampers will not even recognise an SKS as a semi. It's no AK47 and it's not an M16, and does not have a big banana machine gun magazine - they'll just notice that and no more.

And pull down your beanie over your forehead so they don't see the big swastika.

I say go for it, unlikely you'll be mag dumping with it anyway. The biggest worry would be how scary, black and tactical it looks.

Really the question is why is Gun City ammo so expensive? $45 for a box of 20? Outrageous. They're lucky I need it by Friday. I'm tempted to just go old school ghetto and file down some FMJ in to soft points. Probably a bad idea though.

I have some .303 laying around that you can have for nothing if you want it. Definatly have one box maybe a bit more. Dont have a .303 anymore so not much use to me.
