    Hi All
This place is looking pretty cool. I am avid land based fisherman. Waikato river is my favourite haunt. Have been known to shoot the odd deer or two.

Hey guys, found my way over here too. I'm Laurie and never seem to get enough time for spearfishing and hunting...not likely to get better anytime soon as the missus just dropped baby #2.

Currently have a SAKO AV 280 as my main carry rifle, but its a bit of a brick - would like to replace the wooden stock as funds permit. Also have a little 6mmBR project rifle on a Rem 788 action - still tinkering with it and yet to shoot it. Recently bought a barnard barrelled action (palma 308) which will eventually grow up into something like a 338 edge, but may have a partial make-over into a 300 RUM to burn out the existing barrel first.

Also do a mix of ducks and pheasants - primarily in the BOP (home town Katikati) so have a Win101 and 1187.

Got a Brno mod 1 for the rabbits and possums, but again don't get out nearly enough to chase the little buggers - looking forward to the day my kids will be old enough to join me.

Did manage to get out for a spear a few weeks ago around the back of Tiri:

Nice to get onto the finalised new forum. Used to be on the old one same as most on here, but emigrated when Gimp told me about this one.
Still not doing enough shooting, huntin or fishin, but now the house extension is nearly over who knows. Longish range rabbits are my favourite but I'll shoot anything with anything,Name: IMG_1246.jpg

I enjoy tops hunting both South and North Islands, Stewart Islands west coast and being out there away from work. I have been reloading and trying to do enough hunting to satisfy me for the past 30 odd years and failing dismally, work always manages to get in the way. Maybe I should spend some time in a dusty shithole, so that I can spend more time on the hill. Soddy from 45 South invited me over.
    Cheers
