Had 55 plus years of hunting and machinery, 30 years ago ACC excepted it as industrial deafness, have been back every 10 years for a review. Last year was sent to a different specialist and got told, " it's not industrial hearing loss, it's hereditary or result of concussion" will now only pay for 17% of hearing costs. Always use a suppressor or good muffs but the "ringing" doesn't go away and hearing aids are useless BUT I love GPS tracking collars, have made life bearable out there with my dogs.
