I also never worried about hearing protection and my ears started ringing as early as i can remember and have been ringing everyday since. I never gave it much thought just assumed it was normal as its all i knew until i went in for a job and had my medical and was told i had very strange hearing loss in my ears where only one could be explained by firearms. Haha.. dang... Had my first experince today with a hawk model-98 - buck and solid shot.. have to say it wasnt all what i was expecting..
