    Oh one other thing. The magazine can rattle, a small bit of electrical tape on each side fix’s this but take it off after each outing as it may rust up underneath.

    If I remember correctly you had a stunning BLR lightning in 30-06 ? Or did that find a new home too ?

    Bought mine from te tawa on here,then he bought it back and then o sold it a while later,I only sold it as I wanted to suppress to shoot over a dog and couldn’t bring myself to chop it..

    Yeah with mine having been rebarreled i wasn't too concerned about chopping and suppressing it

    With mine I still have the fore sight. The thread just finished before the foresight screw so it is moderated and can go back to foresight if needed.

    Lots of good info here, does anyone know if there’s any real differences between a Miroku MLR and a Browning BLR?

    I’ve got a MLR on the way that’s the twin of the one in the op

    Its my understanding that the only difference between the MLR and the BLR of the same era was the customer they were made for......I think Miroku and browning were financially intertwined somehow a bit like Mazda / Ford with the 323 and the laser in the 80s....

    I have different take on it to Tims.....same customer ,different manufacturing plant,same specs,same exacting standards=same gun different stamp on barrel.

    i "think" Miroku were made in Japan after Belgium stopped making the BLR. Miroku also made a version of the A Bolt.
