Im really regretting posting reply to this at all........ IN NO WAY was I trying to lower the tone or make a personal attack...purely pointing out that adds are not for everyone, and if one section of society has to put up with adds targeting another section of society...well that should be across the board.

Chloe has made all the headlines with her Alcohol Advertising ban and Hera has just jumped on the bandwagon chiefly promoted by ZB's Roman whatsisname.

Reading through all those titles has left me with a sense of satisfaction in Hera's ability to comment on firearms related issues.
She clearly has devoted much time to the subject and has a plethora of experience.

Ain’t plethoras some kind of dinosaur?

All joking aside, it’s a sad day when the likes of Ms Cook get media coverage of her slanted and ignorant views and nobody has the right of rebuttal.

After looking through the list I wonder how these papers would be viewed if they were written by a male instead of a female. Even as a academic I'm sure he would be viewed as some sort of pervert.

I have to agree with posts above that state that all advertising has a targeted audience. Just because it doesn't relate to you doesn't mean it should be banned. Does she think all the gangsters in Auckland are reading hunting magazines to work out what firearm would be best for their next drive by.

Arguing feminine products versus advertising firearms as context is one thing. Just try not to associate it with a person.

Maybe its also an expression of the most important conversation the west is having and I think desperately needs to have.

I agree, everywhere you look intolerant minorities are using "tolerance" against the majority.

I think you have completely misinterpreted what Tahr has said. Either that or your understanding of the meaning of the word legitimate is not correct.
