Police shoot at car after high-speed rampage across Auckland

    https://www.stuff.co.nz/auckland/110...ed-in-auckland

Sorry if this is being covered elsewhere, but what details are now known please about police officers shooting at a vehicle in the interests of public safety ? Was it moving? Was it in a built up area? Do we know if these shots were fired in accordance to current protocols that applied in this circumstance?

Thats because the bullets could still be out there and might potentially cause injury.

people seem fixated on that bloody incident .whilst not detracting from the tragedy ,neertheless it almost falls into the same class as earthquakes --in a split second events align to cause completely unforseen tragedy as happened on that occasion.furthermore look what the original situation was dealing with something extremely shagnasty ,unccoperative and completely antisocial. As a frontline mental health professional I feel for the boys in blue"youre damned if ya do ,ya damned if ya dont.,not helped of course by sensationalist arseholesof MSM plus the tidal wave of armchgair experts on shit like faecesbookand its loathsome cousins.

The Police discharge of firearms toward the offender in the vehicle happened in a built up area of South Auckland with innocent bystanders in close proximity at the time that the incident occurred. It is this reporters opinion having travelled along that road to Weymouth several years ago, that the Police did not lay down enough concentrated fire to effectively wound, maim or kill the scum bag offender as the prick continued to drive away after the shooting. The question of the safety of persons in the area has been raised by concerned citizens but analysis of the incident at Police National Head Quarters has quickly determined that the concerns have been raised by bunny lovers and tree huggers of the politically correct movement and has now been referred to the WGAF investigation team. In an interview with P.C. I’ve (Ivor) Missed the constable said that his thousand round fifty cal 30-06 suppressed tactical MSSA Glock was a little out of practise as it had not been used for peace keeping since the Queen Street riots in 1984. The head of the WGAF, Detective Inspector Don T Care said there was never any danger to members of the public as the bullets were rubber scum seekers which if found by locals could be given to their children to put in their pencil cases and be used as erasers at school without any need for the parents to be worried about safety as even though the bullets had been thoroughly trained as erasers of scumbags, they were multi purpose so would work equally as well on pencil markings if you could properly direct them at the target.

The only footage I've seen is the cellphone vid where they boof him off the road and then set dogs on him - they looked effective enough there

Personally I support more firearm training for the plod so that when they are under pressure they don't hit a courier on the Southern Motorway
What was wrong with shotguns anyway? I thought they were a good idea
