    And, if you know the rules and as a law abiding firearms owner and you abide by the rules, you'll know the cops can and do inspect guns held on endorsements.

    If the cops don't check, how will they ever know you abide by the rules? The examples above, just off the top of my head, show that too many firearms licence holders simply can't be trusted to follow the rules.

    I'm happy for them to come and check my guns and security anytime.
    you forgot to mention leaving guns unattended in vehicles.
