And bear in mind that these people are all volunteers providing a service that bears very, very, little cost to the NZ taxpayer. The total support we get from our Police Force, ongoing support from the Airforce for operations and training exersises is rarely measured in dollars. The other most important part of our service continues to be the generosity of our members business' and employers who allow us to be free to do the work and almost without fail continue to pay us whilst we are on operations....So next time you see a SAR volunteer, go up to them, shake their hand and 'say thank you for your work' And to all you other mates that think you might like to lend a hand...do not hesitate you will never regret it.... Cheers "Spit"
    We possibly met/crossed paths.
Thanks for the service mate. If it were not for volees throughout nz in several sectors, this country would be in a bigger mess than it is.
