    Certainly cheap scopes can suffer from poor flatness of field, edge sharpness and chromatic aberration. What you're probably alluding to is having trouble getting the reticle and image "focussed"...

    Unless they're non-functional, why bother? Doubt it'd be a warranty situation so you'd be paying and I doubt it'd be cheap. It also wouldn't improve their value for resale markedly.
