We actually saw that issue in action the previous week. A guy was shooting some piss-weak .308 ammo at 1000yds and nothing registered.

The licence vetters can apply discretion to this. They did with my son very recently when he renewed his licence. He doesn't currently own any but occasionally uses some of mine.

I use heaps of the Ados Builders Adhesive, a two-pot epoxy that comes in two reasonable size tins for about $80. Goes a long way. It's fantastic stuff and sets very hard, but I very much doubt it...

As for hot drinks and the milk quandary, if I can't have real coffee, the Moccona sachets like cappuccino are the next best thing. Convenient and 100X better than the Nescafe version.

Optilocks are my preferred rings. They grip the scope well without garking the anodizing. You also have some options for correcting base misalignment.
