    if one takes accuracy - new any better not really but some of the benefits of older -- trigger older rifles way better and by a good margin unless one pays for a timney or similar - hand cut...

    sighting in new rifle or new scope - I bore sight first ( saves ammo ) - then start at 25 meter generally only need 2-3 rounds - I zero then at 100 meter dead on - I dont generally shoot over 300...

    no woks come in a variety of sizes dont have to have a big one - I use a chefs fry pan in the bush just need to cure it properly first like a wok and keep dish washing liquid away from it - nice...
