    I meant a smaller scope so I can put lower rings. The 50mm objective scope is on high rings and is sitting only a couple of mm above the barrel haha

    Or... chop it. There are only benefits from running a short compact Grendel, once you go short you'll never bother with a long barrel again. The animals won't know the difference at the ranges...

    Basically, only it runs better high BC bullets faster. The 6.5 Grendel is a 7.62x39 case necked down to 6.5 and blown forward to 30deg shoulder and the taper almost straight walled
