winchester 180grn factory loads SEEM TO/FEEL LIKE they recoil less than the same in 150s and they kill deer sized animals VERY well...they are soft so expand well. I pretty much duplicate that load...

had similar issue with .308 win in the BLR.... strange ,but I found by running the brass through OLD Lyman .30/06 dies it shrunk the web area somewhat and pretty much solved my tight chambering...

try a few different types of scope on your rifle particulaly if you are a bush hobbit and most shots will be up close n personal....you SHOULD be able to close your eyes throw rifle up to shoulder...
