https://preview.ibb.co/cG4OqK/20180809_150801.jpg (https://ibb.co/hXRsje) Well as the title says, I wanted a super lightweight and short carry rifle in a “do it all cal” ….Grendel was high on my...

takbok liked post by gundoc On thread : A wee project for myself
All finished and up to the range to sight in. The 147 grain loads I had scrounged from somewhere were supersonic so no good for evaluating the suppressor, and only mediocre accuracy. I will pull it...

Early days but this is just a teaser photo. I have machined the lower from tooling grade aluminium. I will post photos as work progresses. 90208

Hey guys. I may probably have finished my this project. I just need to polish it and can call it done. I designed everything in Solidworks except for the back bolt and a good friend of mine that has...

takbok liked post by Mooseman On thread : More 270 Win Loads
Picked up some new projectiles the other day for my 270 Win. I decided to give the 145 gr ELD-X a go as they have a good BC and by all accounts they are pretty good on game. In my Tikka using ADI...

takbok liked post by outdoorlad On thread : Is this hot for a .270? Newbie reloading advice.
It’s certainly a warm load, generally you’d expect around 3050 from a 130gn pill, depends how accurate the chrony is? If you worked the load up in cold temps just be a little mindful of shooting it...

There must be some margin for error because there must be less with a 22magnum and my dad shot very many fallow and few reds with it, he also had a 223 and 30-06 but very often took the mag for...

Since selling my last one I've been wanting to build another 300 Magnum, I wasn't sure if it would be another 300 Norma or a 300 Lapua Magnum. I imported some Petersen brass & tested it in a 300...

Probably just bad luck, wouldn't worry about it, one out of 200 odd animals is pretty good odds I didn't like the way the ELD-X killed stuff so I switched to ELD-M but it's probably just me being...
