OK back to it. You asked why not the CM. The only benefit in the 6mm or 6.5 CM in a short action is that they come standard from the factory with a faster twist barrel than the older 243 and 260....

Thanks, same for me as tetawa, That #1 / #11 reticle just dose not work for me. They seem very popular in Europe. Lots of nice used euro scopes on Ebay with these ones. I'm keen for a #4. Z

I also have the Markhor 35 ltr as well. Little large for day hunts and fine for a couple of nights at huts but tight for fly camping with a bed roll (done all 3 with mine) etc. Great on the day...

I have the SM action in a 243 with a 2 detachable mags in a boyd's thumb hole stock, 24" S/S light Varmint barrel, overbarrel silencer etc. As a package it's not light as I built it for day walk...
