Thanks gentlemen, that answers that question, they seem in plentiful supply Jaco, but I really appreciate the offer. Blown away by the good bugger vibe on this forum.
Good Afternoon all, I recently picked up a Lee press which appears to be without the die adapter to suit the standard 7/8 dies. My question is, will these (pics below)replace the need for an adapter...
What shop keengunNic ?
Thanks Te Rei, little bit far for me to venture but I appreciate the heads up!
Evening chainsaw, yes sorry was side tracked the last 48 hours. Are you based anywhere near Auckland?
Thanks Jason, it's a shame I'm in Auckland!
That's a good idea. Will do.
Oh goodie. Will that be for a number of suppliers or do you know of a particular store is getting some?
Anyone know if this stuff still exists, or it's simply a mythical product condemned to the world of hard to get products..
Thanks Charlie, I am dispatching a family member to try and collect some on my behalf. Hope he can get there in time. North island seems plucked dry..
Thanks Micky Duck, will be eagerly checking the letter box in the weeks to come 🤣
Just had a look for large rifle and magnums, all cleared out at reloading direct. Thanks though.
It is a right mess. I'm getting into reloading for two reasons, firstly to learn, to get better at distance and secondly to overcome shortages by creating my own. It doesn't solve the second problem...
Yes, but beggars can't be choosers, this primer situation is nuts.. appreciate the advice though. Tim
I'm obviously prepared to pay for them to get into reloading and postage too, plus photos to show I'm not some scumbag on selling them 🤔
Just had a look online. Firearms, firearm parts and ammo are a no no, doesn't say anything about ammo parts such as primers so I can't see an issue.
From NZ Post..
Air guns
Ammunition...
Good afternoon all.
I am starting out on my reloading adventure and I am after 100 large rifle primers. I have sourced everything else I need to get a beautiful FN Herstal in 300WSM that I...
I can confirm that the work is impeccable. Collected a 300WSM rifle today and the job was to the highest standard and very well priced. Highly recommend this man's skills. Tim
Thank you grandpamac, everyone has been PMing me and has been helpful without inserting the must and must not into the advice given.
Thanks TeRei. You have given me a few valuable takeaways from that blurb. I think annealing will absolutely be on the cards especially for the 300WSM which I plan to squeeze as much accuracy as I can...
Thanks Old bloke. I'm not above the practicality like drilling holes in a block of wood to hold the cases etc, I'll be dead keen on that sorta stuff. I have some old 50 cal cases etc so again keen to...
Thanks Old bloke, will have a look now. I agree of you going to do it for decades to come I don't want to buy cheap rubbish.
Thanks for that. I will look to source the 270 dies and other bits and pieces required and will flow on from there. Not really looking to save money but I do want to try and ensure I have control...
Yes I see things get snapped up quick on the buy sell pages as well as the other forums.
