After seeing @Nibblet 's one I decided to have a crack at it. I knew I had a set of new rings somewhere that came with a scope but they were stupidly high and never got used so into the gun room and a quick search I found them.
Into the shed to with the bits and pieces and started off by searching for a bolt that'll fit into the camera
So first work on the ring was taking this bump off so I could get the square flush
Then marked it, was a little stuff up on my part I couldn't find my scribe until after I used the knife to mark it!
Cut it off with the hack saw
Sanded them even on the wheel
Guessed where center was and whacked a screw into it to mark it for the drill bit
On the drill press with a small drill bit first
Drilled out with the bigger one next
Go to thread it and yup you guessed it! The fucker I needed was missing!!!!!
So with a bit of Kiwi ingenuity I just put the brass screw into the hole and started screwing it hoping it would work and bingo it did.
Go to set it up and nek minnit. The bolt is right threw the ring
Easy fix, covered it with tape when I put it on the scope just to protect the scopes finish
I'll finish this with some before and after pics.
