Thread: Waihora track hunting

Heading to pureora this weekend for a wander will park up near the lagoon campsite and was planning on walking up the waihora track until I felt like dropping off either side and bush hunting. Been there a couple of times with no great success does anyone have any tips for the area? Not asking for spot x or anything just handy hints
I'll be in a silver ford courier if anyone else is around and wants a hot brew

If anyone else is heading there soon I found the most sign was low down in the real thick bush where most of the feed was. Up higher there was bugger all but a fair amount of pig sign. Bumped into a sow with piglets on top of a ridge and another coming up a ridge but only saw deer way down

piwakawaka you need to head right up to weraroa 1088,thats what i found after spending a week at the lagoon earlier this year, map BG34
