Thread: Wheel offset

Looking at putting newish Hilux 17 inch mag wheels on my 98 Hilux surf.
Hilux wheels have 30 offset, surf are 15 offset. Anyone know for sure (done it themselves) that I won’t have issues with fitting/clearance.

Nope... But I'd suggest that you could be one of the first to try that specific combination so it might just be a case of trying it and seeing if the body work and supports etc all clear adequately and at suspension travel.

if you look on the rubber for ranger thread,there is a couple of members who state they are in or were in tyre trade...they WILL KNOW as will any half decent auto wrecker.

Depends on what size tyres you plan to use.
Going from a +15 to a +35 is going narrower track width. Prob not ideal on a surf that the factory wheels already poke in too far imo
