Cheers. The Yanks have cracked down on all ivory, extinct or not which is kinda stupid. Good to know we are not so anal but I bet it will not be long before we are there too.
As far as knives go, I have too many to hide from the cook now, let alone another one. Thanks for the heads up anyway.

No problem. The mammoth ivory gets sluiced out of the perma-frost every thaw by locals, and comes to market at the US knife shows.
Whale teeth and Walrus Ivory is sought after. There's a lot of faked scrimshaw teeth and tusks, relatively easily copied with RTV mpilds and decent resin, then "aged" to look the part.

That looks like a stab rather than a cut Tahr. How did you manage to do that?
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Thinking about it, I use a stab type grip when following the seams to bone out the hind quarters but man that is a serious miss ( or hit as the case may be).

    That's a real good one

Don't you just hate that feeling of your skin being sliced , the sensation of pain hasn't kicked in yet , but you put your hand over the cut , take a deep breath and then slowly lift up the corner of your fingers to peruse the damage . Visual inspection usually coincides with the hurt starting

Hope your OK and no damage was done inside .

I am intrigued by the NZHS etched into it Specweapon.

Just a normal ceramic blade like you get in kitchen knives, harder than steel and stone so should be able to sharpen it with a diamond stone.

Don't know what liner lock is, it just has a clip that locks once it's open.

Sharp as after a fair bit of use, ceramic's meant to be brittle but have never cracked it yet

Can someone explain liner lock? I have one that locks onto a cam on back of blade, mad I must press towards handle to release, and another which has a piece of flat springy steel on inside of handle that I must press sideways to release?

Number 2 is your liner lock.
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds
