Interesting 60gn 2217 and 142 SMK are at 3142 (Magnetospeed) 28 inch barrel in my 6.5SAUM
Nice mild load brass on 13 loading too.
2225 definitely gives more velocity at over 3200
I would have prefered the PRC but it was not around ...............................

All those with dogs waiting no longer fear death. Those with many dogs waiting even welcome it in it's time.

Another 8 inches of barrel at 50 fps per inch sounds about right then

That's in Norma brass, what speeds are you seeing?
24" barrel, 57.7grs in norma brass for around 2950 and 58.1gr in ADG brass for around 2990.

My go to load is the 130gr Sierra TGK over Rl19.. shoots as good as i can

True indeed. Prc is a better choice (as you can get factory brass for a start)even though i can push things a lot harder, for a gong gun whats the point.
Im only sticking with saum as i have so much $$ tied up in getting it going properly.

Are those velocities with the 130 TGK?

I had another go with the prc and had a very consistent "hole in ones" grouping and velocities with 60gr 2217 @ 2925. I also tried Rl26 from 58gr to 59gr working up and max load giving 2960 with very good grouping. Gonna run with 2217 and hide the Rl26 till another day.

No, those velocities were with the 140gr ELD M.

My load with the 130 TGK and Rl19 was close enough to a 3135 average, very low SD too.

Probably repeating myself. The lighter bullets will whip along. 20" barrel, 124 Hammer Hunter, 3140fps. N565 powder. Little groups.
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing, and right-doing, there is a field. I will meet you there.

Blistering! Those 120s seem like they'd be the business.

I went to the range intending to test seating depths with the 143 ELD-X and ended up only shooting one group...

Pretty happy with that, 2876 average, es of 19 and sd of 8.
Yet to validate at longer range but hopefully do that next week. 85 rounds (ish).
One thing I noted was the super mild recoil with the hardy gen give stealth on the front.
