Thread: Percussion caps !

I've had miss firing issues with CCI's before that had nothing to do with the caps but wear and tear on the nipple itself. I now replace the nipples every few years and take some time to check that the hammer face is set to come down square and even on the caps. If the hammer is a little loose on it's pivot that is enough to change things but in general firing nipples are a consumable.
