    Percussion caps !

I'm having an issue with my muzzleloader slow firing and a couple of miss fires when the cap went off but didn't ignite the charge !

    Using CCI #11s

Was previously using Holy Smoke FFFG black powder and no issues
I have started using Triple 7 FFFG powder because its easier for in the field on multi day hunts.
But since I have started using the Triple 7 I have been having the slow fires when there are 2 quite distinct noises of the primer and then the charge.
Plus I have had 2 complete miss fires where the charge hasn't gone off. One at a reasonable red stag !!

I'm picking that the Triple 7 needs more ignition than the Black Powder and I need a hotter percussion cap ?
Going away this weekend on a multi day fly in Tahr trip and was still keen to go with the Triple 7 for ease of use.
But will fall back to Black Powder just as happily if I have to ( more drama, more smoke and just a little bit more of an issue to clean etc ).

I note that CCI does a magnum #11 cap But can't see any available in CHCH
I also note that Gun City have a Dynamit Nobel VZ #1075 percussion ( assume its a #11 ) cap available and wonder if anyone has used that and if its rated as Magnum or hotter than the CCIs ?
Can't find any real info on the VZ and hope someone on here has had a play with them.

    Cheers
