    I'd say harmonics being the main part.
    and My SAUM harmonics are affected more by head space than distance ti the lands it appears going by results so far

    I never jam as I never want a loose pill being left in there when a shot is not taken and you extract and powder every where

    I had 1 round do that few years ago hence don't bother with depth anymore

    I size everything so there is none (headspace) IE slight tension on closing.
    What are you finding with the SAUM leathel ?

    Groups better with a little clearance in lighter barrels, 1.5-2 thou is what I set too now. To tight and 2 of my rifles throw left by almost a moa

    The bloke who writes for Greg Duley summed it up well...it must fit in the mag and chamber up flawlessly.

    I used to bother when I had rifles that had long enough mags to seat close to the rifling.
    Now I just seat to fit mag. In some cases its miles away form the lands, but still groups sub 0.5".
