Bringing old boots back to life

I’ve recently been given an old pair of meindl boots. They’re about 15 years old but have been basically never worn. They’ve been stored well but the rand looks a little dry otherwise in bloody good nick and fit really nicely.
Anyone got any tips on bringing an old pair of boots back to life.
I’m guessing rubber that old is just going to perish but was wondering if there is anything I can do?

Just wear them. Chances are the mid sole will disintegrate fairly quickly anyway.

Experience. What you get just after you needed it.

Is that something that can be replaced?
    I don’t know a lot about boots.
Just wondering if the cost of getting them fixed up would be worth it as they’re in bloody good shape

Meindl have an authorized repairer in Ashburton. I used him to completely replace the sole and Rand. Like new boots. Can’t remember the cost. I will check who it is. I have it some where.

I should have mentioned. The only thing you need to be careful about is meindls form fit to your unique foot. So if they have been worn in by someone else the likelyhood of them being perfect for you is reduced.

This is the boot repairer in Ashburton. He’s a master at these European boots.

My experience with meindl's is that if they are not used often, the soles do seperate. At least mine did.
