    lectrolyte recipe

    Hi Folks

I'm looking for the recipe for homemade electrolyte - for the life of me I can't drag it up through the search function.

    Any assistance gratefully received.

Edit - the title should read Electrolyte. My bad

I’ve found around half a teaspoon of Himalayan salt per litre of water with a bit of Raro orange for flavouring works very well.

This and for when its unavailable I have used very often when I used to race bicycles.

Lemon cordial or lemon and barley since just lemon is hard to find in NZ
2 tablespoons dextrose powder sometimes called brewers sugar available at all supermarkets
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    water to dilute cordial
    Makes 1/2 Litre

This works extremely well for me and really is my go to, oh and its cheap to make.

I do, but it does baaaaaaad things for my shooting.

If I Guinness rehydrate sufficiently then it doesn't matter, so I guess there is that.

Half coke half water 1 tsp salt. Made up to 1l. Infantry recipe. Works
As for vege free and electrolyte free, come walk with me 30km a day chasing camels in 35 plus heat, give u 2 days b4 u fold gonetropo. Must replace salts
BTW theory from army medics was that 1tbs of tablesalt, srraight in 1 go can kill you by disrupting sodium /potassium balance in heart. Could be bs
