High velocity makes the 25's with flat trajectory. The spiker was shot with a 110 AB. Hole straight through so why do I need to go heavier ?. What went wrong with the 400mtr Tahr out of interest @southernman ??
Pretty much the wrong tool, for the job, shot two Thar, both required multiple shots to down, pretty much the accubond, didn't expand hardly at all, at 400-430m, in range, I picked up an expired Accubond, that had passed threw the 2nd Thar, and struck the rock bluff behind, hadn't expanded hardly at all, certainly not past its diameter.
A good old soft point, 115 partion or 117gr Hornardy, would likely have work out much better.

I hadn't been in Thar hunting, on the east side, and took the wrong rifle, my first thought, on driving into the McCauley Valley, was I should have bought the .264 win or 7x57,
