Thread: Waihora Road - Pureora

Just for anyone's info the road is in quite poor condition. I wouldn't recommend 2WD or SUVs to go in there at the moment whereas previously it was rough but you'd happily get a 2WD in.

I went to go for short walk to the lagoon (one of my favourite places) on the way home from Taupo today and was in our SUV (has proper 4x4 as well as AWD but only road tyres) rather than my ute. The road is cut up and looked very soft and slippery just pass the pines/DOC boundary when the road heads down hill.
I decided not to play that game today in the SUV and backed up and turned around.

Should be fine for 4x4 with AT or MT tyres.
